This webinar will provide information on the process for applying for a charter school through the Charter School Review Commission. The applications received by the Commission and approved will be sponsored by the local school district. The required documents, process for submittal, and timeline will be discussed. Participants will have the necessary information to decide if applying through the Commission is right for their organization.
The CSU offers webinars, typically on Tuesday afternoons or Thursday mornings, to assist school leaders with their professional development, and the operations of the charter school. The CSU is a free support network operated by Building Hope in partnership with the United States Department of Education through a federal dissemination grant, a Walton Foundation grant, and the Florida Department of Education through a state appropriation. Our primary mission is to serve all charter schools in their first five years of operation. The CSU also provides many free services to more established charter schools across the country, including our free professional webinar series.
