School Safety and Charter School Responsibilities and Requirements

There are a number of requirements laid out in Florida Statutes that address school safety for charter schools. Recently, the State Board of Education approved Rule 6A-1.0018 which further outlines the responsibilities and what is needed for compliance with regard to school safety laws. This presentation will cover the expectations for how charter schools and school districts will need to work with the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Safe Schools to ensure all aspects of school safety and security are being covered.
